it was great! I cant complain

  2. Alicja From Poland On December 1, 2011

The price is good and the location even better. But the staff (especially one guy who was during the night on the reception) doesn't care about normal guest! and admit everyone even when their drunk or stoned. We were sleeping in 6bed room and about 11pm came two totally drunk or stoned, suspicious guys and it was very unpleasant... we were worried whole night about our luggage - so we almost didn't sleep this night. we wanted to stay there 2 or 3 nights but finally we change the hostel

VERY nice stuff with very good advice, thanks!

The location of the hostel is good for quiet nights. The kitchen is really crap and there is no real communal area, except for the bar. Because of all the trees and plants in the garden the rooms don´t get much sunlight and stay a bit humid, which makes the beds and towels a bit smelly. Internet is not included. We´ve seen much nicer places in town.

    Very friendly staff, internet/water/snacks available

Excellent, attentive staff. Samantha was outstanding, taking an extra step one morning when we had an early departure. We would defintely stay at El Guembe again.

This is an excellent spot tucked away in a side street just a few locks from the hub of this small town. The hostel has friendly staff, is incredibly lean (and I should know, I stayed in 14 other places in my trip!), and has a uniquely Iguazu look, with the window in my room opening to a veritable tropical forest! Watch out for mozzie in your room, though.
