Traveling from Nearby Airports to Tsuji Oooka in Nagano, Japan
To reach Tsuji Oooka in Ookaonsen, Nagano, the nearest major airport is Matsumoto Airport (MMJ), located about 80 kilometers away. From the airport, travelers can take a direct bus service that operates frequently to Nagano Station, which serves as a central hub for further transportation. The journey by bus takes approximately 50 minutes, offering stunning views of the surrounding Japanese Alps, making it a scenic introduction to the region. Once at Nagano Station, you can transfer to the Nagano Electric Railway, where you will enjoy a picturesque train ride that takes about 30 minutes to reach Ookaonsen Station, the closest stop to Tsuji Oooka. Alternatively, if you're arriving at Tokyo's Narita International Airport (NRT) or Haneda Airport (HND), you can take the Narita Express or the Tokyo Monorail to Tokyo Station. From there, board the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Nagano Station, which takes around 90 minutes.
