    The hostel was a but primitive, heated by a wood stove, which was actually quite quaint but made for a dirty common area, and the cooking facilities made it very difficult to do anything. I had to hard boil eggs in the plug in water boiler because there was no stove to cook on. The people were friendly enough but as they live right above the hostel, they are always in and out which can get a bit loud and annoying.

    City hostel met our needs for a one night stay in Skopje. The owner was a great guy, very friendly, and seems to enjoy hosting travelers, giving advice, and making sure people really enjoy their stay. I think there were only two bathrooms for all the guests which was not a problem when we visited in October, but could be busy in the summer months. This website needs to update and provide more detailed directions to the hotel. Arriving by car we asked two people when we were in the neighborhood and they said it's tough to provide directions. We eventually drove back to the bus station (about 1.5 km away) and paid a taxi driver 100 MKD to drive over there (while we followed him)as he too said it is too hard to describe. You can walk to city center in 10 minutes. Rooms were clean and breakfast basics seems to be available most of the day

    Nice service. Manager is really professional and polite man, he gave real help in acknowledge of Skopje. Delicious breakfast. The hostel is good. IMPORTANT: Hostel is situated rather near the railway station but the way to it is not so clear and straight when you are in Skopje for first time and Macedonian people know their own town very POOR. You'd better to go down the street for 5 minutes and spot licensed taxi - it costs near 1 euro, but DO NOT USE TAXIS NEAR THE RAILWAY AND BUS STATION! And do not ask help how to go to the hostel from these taxi drivers especially from Alexandar Stefkovski.

    It is really good place to stay. The owner is Bobi, he is relly good man,he is always ready to help. The Hostel is located near the center of Scopje, you can get somewhere within 10 minutes (as max).If you wand to get reasonable balance betwenn quality nad price-WELCOME TO CITY-HOSTEL!
