Info & Description
The Hotel San Sebastiano Garden, opened in 2007, enchantingly overlooks the San Sebastiano canal. The hotel is a wonderful Venetian renaissance palace, a period dwelling with a long history and tradition that has been carefully and scrupulously restored. Due to its position, right in the heart of one of the most elegant living areas of the historical centre of Venice, the Hotel San Sebastiano Garden is the ideal start for discovering the city. It guarantees to its guests a pleasant and peacefully stay, sheltered from the most crowded tourist streets which are although easy to reach by simply walking and enjoying the view of the most untouched and charming areas of Venice. The Accademia Galleries, the museum Ca’ Rezzonico of Venice in the XVII century, the Scuola Grande dei Carmini, the Frari church, the Guggenheim Collection and the church of Santa Maria della Salute, are just some of the pictoresque places that can be discovered nearby. Moreover there is the promenade Venetians love most: the Zattere, that starts right from the hotel and leads our guests over the Accademia bridge which offers the most enchantingly view over the Grand Canal. The water-bus stop of San Basilio is situated just 20 meters from the hotel and allows reaching San Marco square with a pleasant 10 minutes boat journey.
The philosophy of the hotel is to offer to its guests visiting the city for leisure as well as for business, the chance to breath the most authentic atmosphere of the city and having a relaxing stay, a staff that pays attention to every single detail with a scrupulous and tailor-made service, and the possibility to enjoy promenades and itineraries through the most beautiful and unexpected sceneries that Venice offers.
But the feather in our cap is our enchanting garden, a rarity in Venice, which has conserved its original structure throughout the centuries, its beautiful colonnade, the period statues, and a central fountain. The garden is at disposal of our dear guests for pleasant walks, to collect themselves among the green and the perfume of the flowers, and is the romantic scenery for breakfasts and evening drinks from spring to fall. The garden is as well at disposal for private banquets, special events and cultural meetings.
Great care and attention have been paid by decorating the 16 rooms, each has its own personality and has been well-appointed following the Venetian tradition but with a touch of design. Some have view on the garden, some on the beautiful façade of the San Sebastiano church. The final outcome is owing to a famous Venetian architect that reached it by mixing period to contemporary- designed fittings.
For romantic stays, special anniversary and for those who always looks for a high level of comfort, the Junior Suite offers an unique scenery, evocative and highly elegant, that puts its guests into the ancient splendour of the Serenissima.
