Our Tuscan farmhouse, Follonico, dates back to the year 800 and was once the centre of activities for the surrounding vineyards. Abandoned and almost completely collapsed, it has taken two years of careful and patient restoration to bring it to its present state. The original character maintained, now in symbiosis with modern technology; Follonico awaits you. \n \nFollonico 4-suite-B & B welcomes its guests with bed and breakfast in a landscape of absolute beauty; a valley characterised by all the elements typical of the Tuscan landscape: vineyards, pastures, small forests, wheat fields, olive groves, white roads and cypresses. Two charming hilltop towns are a short distance away: Montepulciano (The Pearl of 500) and Montefollonico. \n \nThe host committee, also typical of Tuscany, includes pheasants, hares, deer, wild boar, porcupines, hawks and flocks of sheep out to pasture! \n \nAt Follonico we invite you to experience four different environments in which to enjoy the four seasons of Tuscany. Take pleasure from the taste, the smell and, not least, the colours that characterise the passage of time. Firstly - space. \n \n \n \nThe room sizes range from a minimum of 35 to a maximum of 48 square metres, all complete with ensuite bathroom. \n \n \n \nIntroducing the efficiency and comfort of modern technology to our centuries-old farmhouse, each suite is equipped with Lan Network (free internet), temperature control for any season and a 'raindance' shower. Each bed has a spring-independent mattress and there is a selection of pillows of different firmness and height to soothe you to sleep. Our goal is not to be a hotel, a Relais in Tuscany, or a GuestHouse Bed and Breakfast (...... with breakfast it is probably closer to a brunch!) We welcome you with a smile that has always characterised us and earned us the loyalty of guests from all over the world. \n \nFollonico 4-Suite B & B is strategically located about 5 km from Montepulciano, world reknown for its Renaissance architecture and the famous Vino Nobile (the first Italian wine to carry the DOCG label). Nearby, the town of Montefollonico is a jewel of medieval origins, even more precious in that it has yet to be 'discovered' by the tourist crowds. \n \nFollonico is 6km from Torrita di Siena, where you can find most of the services (restaurants, shops and markets) you will require. \n \n \n \nScenic walking tracks are close to the farm and you will find safe, paved roads throughout the surrounding countryside with an almost complete absence of traffic. \n \n \n \nThe main tourist areas within the province of Siena are reachable within 30-45 minutes. You will find if you deviate from the main roads and drive on the alternate routes, more remote but absolutely charming unpaved roads that lead to places that seem to have stopped in time.
