Info & Description

The hostel “Adige”of Legnago is situated in the southern Veronese territory. Completely renewed in 2005 it is part of the compound named “Corte Samuele” and is located in a suggestive landscape area in S. Pietro di Legnago; an ideal territory for those who like to spend some time relaxing in a natural environment. Thanks to its particular position, the hostel offers its hosts the possibility to choose between several itineraries and paths leading to the discovery of the river Adige and the surrounding plain. Along the embankments of the rivers flowing across the territory there are cycling, pedestrian and equestrian tracks. Furthermore, the plain offers historical and architectonical aspects (abbeys, Romanic churches), as well as natural ones (oasis of Brusà, of Busatello, valley of Menago, woods of Tartaro) of great interest. Several archaeological sites make the territory of Legnago one of the richest areas in tracks of human presence starting from the 2nd to the 1st millennium B.C. A vast documentation about it is available at the Centro Ambientale Archeologico – Museo Civico (Environmental Archaeological Centre - Civic Museum) of the city, which is also a very good place to start cultural and naturalistic itineraries to discover the area. Those who like cultural life may visit the museums of the city or attend the season in Teatro Salieri, rich in events. The position of the hostel allows to reach easily the most beautiful art cities in Veneto, thus giving the possibility of visiting Venice, Padua, Verona, Rovigo, besides the nearer Montagnana and Mantova.
