The Hotel Balbi is a family hotel in a historical building with frescoes and hardwood floors.The owners serve on the young hotelkeepers committee of the province of Genoa.
Located in the town center near the university ,200mt from the railway station Genoa P.Principe,500mt from the Expo area,which includes the Aquarium and the Conference center,800mt from the ferry terminal and the genoa east exit of the motorway.
It has rooms with free wifi ,bath hair dryer minibar direct dial telephone air conditioning and sattv,as well a breakfast room with a bar internet point and fax service.
All major credit cards are accepted.Cancel 2 days prior to arrival date to avoid penalty of 1 night room charge.

    Truly excellent hotel. We were a very large group but the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and there was lots of room. The location is convenient and great for exploring. Highly recommended!

    Well located, a short walk from the train station. Much smaller than expected. Our room did have a fresco on the ceiling, but it was very dark and had water damage, so it was rather macarbe. Our toilet didn't work initially, had to get the owner in. Then we didn't have hot water in, had to get the owner in. Then there wasn't much hot water, had to get the owner back again. For a short stop over in Genova it was a bit of a hassle. However, we did get given a breakfast even though we left at 5 am the next morning. This was very thoughtful. So it was ok - but rather expensive compared to other places we had stayed.

    Clean and comfy, kind staff, free breakfast, no free car parks, not so good surrounding (adult theater...), but worth the reservation! Good surprise.

    what a surprise! this place was economical and i was not anticipating a 20ft high domed ceiling complete with fresco, in my room. a spacious room and the staff was extremely nice. less than 5 minutes from the train station. highly recommended.
