Locanda Latina - Florence, Italy

Its nice place in perfect location! Clean and comfortable room. For sure i will come back:)

Very small and humble accommodation, but the hostel is very cheap too. The bathroom was clean but more broadly the room and corridor for the access was kitsch and chaotic. I had a cold shower, as another guest too.

No hot water, pretty dirty bathroom and floors, old furniture, no windows in room, noise (thin walls), very nice staff member at arrival, location perfect.

Right in the middle of Florence. Very convenient.

I waited 1 hour and half to have check-in 'cos they forget my reservation. No hot water for shawer, the key to enter in the flat doesn' t work so I had to call again but I waited 'cos the owner was eating an hot dog so I waited again... Unbelievable, THE WORST EVER.

In the description of the hostel it says laundry so I was expecting to do the laundry without paying any extra. Unfortunately I had to go out the building to a laundry place and, for 3 people, spend a total of 14e to wash and dry everything. Also, when booking 3 beds in a 4-bed dormitory you do not expect to live with the receptionist who seems to live there permanently, it was quite awkward...

Everything was fine, just that the wifi signal was a bit weak and at times there were no reception. The staff was friendly and nice

My impression was so shocking that I did not stay at the Locanda Latina. My fault I 've tried a mixed room. I thougth it was a female room. Any way, the place was durty, tight with just a table at the corridor as reception. Someone replacing the owner that was travelling, only italian spoken, no wifi.The stair way to arrive was dark and with a bad smell. I understand that the price was nine euros a nigth, but I found a lovely hostel 37 euros for 2 days with breakfast self-service and a pasta at nigth. It doesn't justify.

It is a great place if you like arts. All walls are coved with pictures done by the owner. Also the host is always ready to help.

Hostel manager slept in the same room as us, which was very uncomfortable. No lockers, no wifi, no common area. The room was incredibly hot and stuffy with one small fan between 4 and there were lots of mosquitos. There were two bathrooms for the entire hostel. It was very cheap, but obviously you get what you pay for.

The host slept in the same room so it was late at night and he was still awake making noise. He cooks in the room and the smell of food was impregnated. In addition he snores very loud and put loud music to sleep.

One big disappointment. They gave incorrect open hours, didn't answer the phone, we were waiting 3 hours while there were people inside but the bell was broken, and we have a room with a person who worked there: with a man who collect money from us, not with another guest. Only the location is very good.

Friendly, close to everything, great information. Easy and tidy.

It was the Negative highlight of our journey in Italy! Totally over charged of the room,very noisy from a busy Pub street,clean sheets on bed but with staines and Bed bugs inside matress & pillow was a blast.Soft uncomfortable matress, doors where u dont even need key cozz they are so eay to break them up by a little push. The worst Hostel i ever stayed, ~€15,- would be a fair price but they just use yr creditcard! They have ~15 silly Rules in the House which not even the houseguys follows at the end, STAY AWAY from this creepy House!

This really was a fantastic place to be staying in! It was close to the station and central Florence making it easy to get around. Andrew, the host, was extremely helpful, showing us places we could visit on a map and answering any concerns or questions we had for him in a kind manner. Rooms, toilets and showers were cleaned everyday and so everything was always felt clean and ready to use. We had an enjoyable 3 night stay and if I were in Florence again I would definitely choose to stay in Locanda Latina again. I highly recommend this hostel as a place to stay!

The place is in a very strategic position. I was able to locate it very easily which was very crucial for me because I was a visitor.The price is also very affordable and it is worth it. It can however get noisy at night because it is at the centre but besides that, it is a great place.

Very nice place and owner. I totally recommend this guest house to a person who travel alone or two persons. All walls are painted and it's very pretty.
