The hostel is well located, close to the beach/main street and hiking trails. However, I found it a bit pricy and really basic ( altough there is a kitch but one mug, poor dishes, pots etc). There was no lockers/towels/wi-fi/airconditioning, bit noisy at night. There was no moskitonet, so was bitten by them. In general we got a nice and cosy apartment and the people I met made up for all the inconveniences.

Good Friendly staff! Great location. We had booked a shared room and were given a room with 2 beds- the only drawback was that people in other room had to walk past our room. Riomaggiore is beautiful town with great friendly people and worth a stay.

It was good. Just like Cinque Terre. Serene and sober and a nice place to live by, especially for the price

The room we stayed in was lovely and in a great spot (although a bit of a hike to get there but worth it) room was clean and we would defiantly go there again

On mega budget so opted for a mixed dorm of 7 - great luck to have 6 fab young US architecture students. May have been totally different experience otherwise - but my choice to try cheap option!

the place where we stayed was an apartment that the hostel managed for holiday seasons and it was cleaned and well located but there was no ventilation (neither natural nor a fan) but it was ok. We would go back but request another room. The staff was ok, but kind of introspective but respectful, they were not the smiling kind.

the rooms are so small and not nice at all, the staff is rude. the location was great. but i would not stay there again

This was an unexpected delight. We only reserved at midnight before we arrived the next day and it was a lovely spot at the top of the hill. The walk up was horrendous but we got help carrying from Matteo. We had several lovely sitting areas on patios with a beautiful views of the sea, a refrigerator and kitchen.

this hostel is not bad as horrible as heard. kichen and every facility were so clean, but toilet door-lock is not working. i think it's fine to stay anyway.

Here is actually not a hostel, but distributed rooms in different houses and places around the town.

Had an amazing time at the hostel. It was in a fantastic location, had a kitchen (oven, microwave etc), washing machine, tv, dining table - everything you could expect. Once I got to know the owner I was made to feel very welcome. Would definately recommend.

  13. Kris From Canada On November 30, -0001

Great location. Staff was invisible(in a good way) We got a free upgrade to a 5 room dorm right on the sea. Great location.

  17. Andreas From Denmark On November 30, -0001

Fine room in "heaven" but the staff wasn't that helpful! Great position in Riomaggiore, if you are exploring Cinque Terre..

  18. Mahvreen From Australia On November 30, -0001

No hot water was extremely frustrating after four nights but other than that, the accommodation was central with lots of good ol'Italian character.

  19. Barbara From Brazil On November 30, -0001

The hostel is a completely mess. The rooms are in different buildings all over Riomaggiore. There isnt a common area and the staff are not professional. When I got there a guy took me to a room that didnt have enough bed for me and my sister, after that he took us to a nicer room with kitchen and bathroom. In the way to the rooms he stoped in a store to buy him cigarretes and we had to aqit for that with our heavy backpacks. Riomaggiore is hot and there is not a fan in the rooms. The good thing is that the city is really nice and u dont use the hostel so much.
