The Refuge
Nestling in the Belbo Valley, Rifugio ristorante “La Pavoncella” is a new 44 bed, family run ‘refuge’ situated about 35 km from Alba, 90 km from Genova, 100 km from Torino, 190 km from Milano in the Alta Langa, near Camerana.
Having been completed in July 2005, it offers basic clean modern accommodation, whilst combining genuine Italian family hospitality, and varied local activities at very reasonable rates.
The refuge and restaurant is ideal for those travellers using budget airline services to both Turin and Genoa, who were looking to experience the region's rich culture and attractions first hand at low cost.
We can cater for all sizes of party and have various types of room configurations, from twin to six bed bunk rooms.
All room types are en-suite, prices are per room per night bed and breakfast. Airport transfers available by arrangement.
The restaurant and bar with its 80 seats arranged in comfortable communicating rooms, is the ideal place for both individuals and groups to meet, perhaps to discuss adventure plans or give presentations. For this purpose we have available for use a large screen with satellite receiver connection and video source adapters for PC, DVD player and videotape recorders.
There is also a wide and comfortable outdoor area for alfresco dinners, buffets, or just that quiet drink after along strenuous days activities.
After you have explored the area, treat yourself to an Alta Langa Dining experience. The menu reflects the wealth of fine produce this wonderful region has to offer. The Wine cellar has been arranged by grape variety, location of the vineyard itself and family names of the local producers. all of which are personally known to us. Giving you the opportunity to compare all varieties and discover the collidascope of flavours that depend on grape, soil, position in which grown, and of course the vintner's own secrets.
