Kőszeg is one of Hungary's 100 Wonders. It is a charming town with rich history and precious architectural heritage located at the feet of the Voralps. While walking around amongst the colorful houses, old churches and various museums the calmness and the mysterious mood of the middle age can be felt in the old town center.

The unique climate, the natural beauty of the nearby mountains and the numerous places of interest (within 15-20 km distance) make this region especially suitable for active recreation and relaxation even for a longer period of time.

Hotel*** Írottkő - located at the romantic main square of Kőszeg - is the most famous and highest capacity hotel of the town since 1979. All of its 52 rooms (max 110 pers.) were renovated in 2006 and are equipped with telephone, color TV set and minibar. Each room has its own bathroom en suite. Extra bed and special baby bed is available upon request.

24/7 reception service, lift, Wellness Section, Winery, drink bar, café, library, restaurant and additional open-air terrace (in summer) are available for our guests.

Wireless Internet Access (WiFi Hot Spot) is available free of charge (providing you carry your own laptop) and a Public Internet Terminal can be used at our drink bar against charge.

The Hotel's Restaurant (max. 60 persons) and its separate room (max. 100 persons) is open from 11:00 till 22:00 every day offering delicious regional specialties and vegetarian dishes, as well. The carefully selected wine list contains the best wines of the Kőszeg region (dry, redwines) as well as numerous Hungarian and international wines types.

The nearby mountains include the Geschriebenstein-Írottkõ Naturepark, which offers numerous marked hiking and biking trails for the lovers of nature and sports.

For our guests travelling in the framework of Business or Conference Tourism we offer four modern, air-conditioned meeting rooms and conference venues of various size (up to 300 sq m) and capacity (up to 160 Pers.). Up-to-date technical equipment (TV, DVD, VHS, projector, flip-chart, microphone, whiteboard, translator system, etc.) is available upon request.

For conferences or other programmes of more significant volume we offer our exclusive Entrance Hall (300 sqm), which is the most famous and popular venue for large volume exhibitions, concerts, weddings, balls and meetings. The marble floor, the 20 m headroom with huge roof windows (natural light!), the window-wall panorama to the main square and the carefully selected decoration makes this hall ideal for an unforgettable experience.
