Astori Hostel - Budapest, Hungary

Staff were excellent at pointing out the good places to eat, best streets for shopping, best things to see etc. Very friendly and welcoming.

Very close to the metro and vaci utca. rooms are very clean but you can have a challenge with the temp of the shower! hehe

Hostel is very good. I received a nice apartment. This is one of the nicest apartments I have stayed at. The room and beds were very nice, and the showers/bathrooms were very clean. There is a nice courtyard area . I would definitely return to this apartment. the staff were all very kind, helpful, and cool. the rooms were nice and clean.y charm and situated in the middle of a real budapest neighbourhood .

The hostel and apartments are in the best area of Budapest. Near the river, big synagog, Castle, Parliament and the Market Hall. All of the big hotels in walking distance, but for much higher price. The only minor , I think that need more notice about how to check in. the place is very comfortable and the staff is friendly and more similar at a family than a hostels...near the center i certainly return there if i'll go at Budapest again

We booked a room for 3 people private with WC. The hostel/apartments isn't at the address that is shown on the website(karolu korut 16). You have to call a number and someone comes and meets you at that address and takes you to another address not very far. It was a very very dirty apartment in a very old and dirty building. The sheets on the beds were so thin and dirty we slept with our clothes on. The room was very cold, there was only a little heater that didn't really do anything.will NEVER go there again.

The location was great and the staff was amazing. However there was a policy of no loud talking or speaking which definitely cut into the fun factor. Other than that I thought the place was brilliant. Rob

I was verry unhappy with the service, I never had this before! When I arrived at in Boedapest I called the hostel that, incording to the instructions that was send to me by e-mail. Nobody answerd my calls at that day and the day after. When I went to the Hostel, there was nobody, not even a reception. I was forced to book another Hostel.I traveled a lot and i've never had this before.

a great place with kitchen and laundry facilities, but since it is an apartment there is no staff to help you get around the city or answer questions to. Also, there was only one set of keys for the four of us, making it hard to split up for the day.

Good choice.The staff was very friendly and helpful, they made sure we don't miss anything. The hostel was just amazing located in an beautiful old building in the center of Budapest, everything is walking distance, very clean big room with nice kitchen and bathroom

It was a wonderfull apartment right in the middle of the city. The area is full of bars and restaurant. The rooms are silent. It was an apartment not in a hostel. This suited us perfectly as we were on our own, but it wouldn't be a place to meet other travellers. But the apartment itself was perfect. The location is outstanding. Right in the centre of Budapest near the main metro station and within walking distance of all the main sights and the Danube. Good value for money as well. I recommend.

This hostel was a scam. When I arrived there were notes with a few phone number s, none of which led anywhere. My VISA had also been charged with the full amount of what was left in the account.

Super bien ubicado,buen precio, tuvimos un cuarto super privado y grande. Lo unico malo es que en realidad es que como es un departamentito, no hay staff que pueda ayudarte o darte recomendaciones. Pero lo recomendamos 100%.

It is nice, near the river and Astoria station. Easy to visit everything. The staff was nice they showed me the good places on the map

The place was beautiful, reminded us of a mini bed and breakfast. Mari ( I think thats what his name was) was wonderful. Very friendly, happy and helpful. We had a balcony with a view of the old town church. Breakfast was yum and location was a 5 minute walk to the old town. Do the tour to Szentendre, a must see! All in all the cleaniest friendliest hostel we have stayed in. The only complaint is the doors didnt have locks and there were no lickers, but Im sure they will get that fixed soon enough. Would recommend to anyone!

located in the Jewish area, and is a family room, not a hostel at all. the buliding we lived is very old and the door is not safe enough, which can be easliy opened. but the staff is nice

i really liked this kind of hostel,we were 11 people and we got a flat with 2 big rooms just for us in the main center of budapest,really good flat..i suggest this hosel,also very good price. but if you are looking for a kind of hostel full of other people around the word,look for something else.
