Stay in the former living rooms of the recently renovated marine-barrack "Roter Sand" with a view on the daily life at the port. In 4 floors you can find everything you could wish for: 200 beds, community areas with a billiard table, Wii and internet spots.
All rooms are equipped with shower/toilet, table and seating. Bed sheets and towels are included.
The house offers a nice accomodation for every age group, family trips, sport trips, school trips and conferences. The reception is open 24/7 and the staff speaks several languages. Besides an extensive breakfast buffet there is the possibility to order a lunch packet and dinner in the restaurant and if you would like some snacks and drinks you can take advantage from the snack machines or the bar in the lounge area.
The hostel is about 1.5km from the city center. The busstop Rotersand is right around the cornder and it will take you only 6 minutes to get to the center (and about 18 minutes to the train station). Here you can find more information about Bremerhaven and its geography and history.
When you are travelling with a dog or a cat you can stay here at the Havenhostel. Per room you can bring two four-legged friends.

    One of or even the best hostel I ever stayed at, facilities almost like at a real hotel. Really nothing to complain about besides maybe the location 4-5 km from main station which is nobody´s fault
