Welcome to Backpackers Chez Patrick!

We have an international environment with mostly students, backpackers and other young travellers from around the world converging on the Backpacker's Chez Patrick.

We are centrally located in the heart of Nice, close to some of the major shopping centres in downtown. We are only 5 minutes walk from the train station and the Nice Côte-d'Azur airport bus stop and 10-15 minutes walk to the Promenade des Anglais and beaches.

Our rooms are comfortable, clean, safe and perfect place to relax. All the rooms have air condition and free safety box for your valuables. Please note that there are no kitchen, we do not provide breakfast, but we are located in the middle of a shopping street with a choice of cafes and restaurants. The hostel staff will do their best to help make your stay in Nice and are happy to recommend great local eateries to suit any budget.

You have your own keys and you can enter the hostel whenever you want. There is a refundable key deposit of 20 EUR which will be refunded when the guests return the key before check out.

Many attractions are within walking distance from the hostel:

- The old town, which has excellent restaurants, cafés and bars, pubs and nightclubs for those who like to enjoy night life
- The Flowers Market on the Cours Saleya
- The shopping street Place Masséna with restaurants and cafés on terrace
- The Acropolis Congress Centre and many other interesting sites …

Whilst in Nice at our hostel, you can also visit other Côte d'Azur towns: Grasse, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, Menton and small villages such as St. Paul de Vence, Eze (for €1,50 - by bus), the bus stop is a 15 minutes a walk or you can take the train which is 5 minutes walk from the hostel.

Please read our policies and conditions before you book!
** Cancellations/changes of booking should be notified, only in writing by e-mail at least 48 hours before the date of arrival. In case of late cancellation or no show the total of first night will be charged.
** In order to guarantee your reservation, on the day of arrival we will charge your first nights accommodations to your credit card. The hostel reserves the right to refuse booking if credit card is invalid !

** Please be aware that after arrival should you decide to check-out earlier that the departure date originally booked, the hostel will charge the total amount of reservation.
** All beds available or confirmed will not necessarily be in the same room. When booking dorms, there is no guarantee a group of 3 or more people will be in the same room. Please note, you will be booking beds, not the room. But we shall do our best to accommodate bookings in the same room.

    We really do like staying Chez Patrick! It's a nice little hostel, and staff is very hospitable: they showed us the sights of Nice, recommended some places to go. Cleaning up is made every day, there's a fridge and a kettle in kitchen, 3 showers for all the rooms and a sink in every room. That's the best variant for such price!

    Great location at near the Train and Tram and Bus stops in Nice. One thumbs down is the Dark stairway up to the entrance. Watch your steps.

    The room is clear, and staff is nice, but the only thing I want to complain is that after asking my experienced friends, the 10% deposit should be included in rent, not a commission fee,so in this aspect, I feel I have been cheated!

    clean, good location, in proximity of the train station and not too far from the old town, just have in mind that you have to pay in cash, otherwise you have to pay a fee for paying with credit card, unfotunately no common room to sit when the others which whom you share the room are already/still sleeping

    Big and clean rooms. The problem was that the hostel has only 2 small bathrooms. But on the other hand it's location near the trainstation is very useful if you have to take a train early in the morning nextday or if you want to visit Monaco as I did :D

    Well placed hostel! Very clean and very nice staff!! There,s no common rool so it,s tough to meet people especially if you're alone. But still a good place, i would recommend it.

    Wonderful! Lovely colorful hostel that has everything: AC, mini kitchen, clean, close to the train station so you don't have to haul luggage very far, friendly staff, very quiet. The place to stay if you want a nice, clean, quiet hostel. I highly recommend. Only downsides for some people is that it is further away from the beach/old city (but I preferred that because I didn't have to haul my luggage to the other end of town) and it is not active and lively (but I prefer that because I'd rather stay at a quiet, calm hostel). A+.

    Loved the hostel! Patrick was an awesome person, great to talk to. Very, very clean, but still felt relaxed and fun. Met some other great travelers there! I wish there was a stove-top though!

    It is really not as good as it has decribed in your website. The blanket in the room is so dirty and hard.The air conditioner is so cold even if we have informed of the charger. We have bad cold after that. After all, we did not have a good rest.

    Very clean. Not used to someone not being at front counter but when service received was given willingly. Location quite accessable to all. Little claustrophobic rooming but would recommend to others.
