Info & Description

-The Green Tortoise Hostel is the offspring of the Green Tortoise Adventure Travel Company, which began in 1974 with it’s first cross country trip. The Hostel is rooted in that spirit of adventure and hospitality, bringing world travelers together to express and share their experiences. We provide opportunities to get together during our breakfast everyday from 7:30 AM to 10AM, and during our dinners on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. Our rooms are cozy and our hearts are big. We think like our guest and try to provide everything they need to get out and enjoy San Francisco and beyond. There are nightly events where we host those staying at the Green Tortoise as well as guest from other hostels and even adventurous locals.

    That was amazing. I Do like this hostel. It's so clean and those who works in there are kind. And the best thing is the chill out area. You can do wifi in your room. I recommend this hostel.

    I feel very comfortable for the fee. For example, the bedroom is very clean and wide for me. And also, the facility is very convenient like free access of WiFi and free breakfast. I want to stay at your hostel at next visit.

    active, good place, classical hostel. More bathrooms-at least without shower-would be ok.

    the hostel is very well organized (save) and at the same time great fun. next time i would definitely book green tortoise again. the cleanlines of the public showers is a big plus. the stuff knows a lot of good places to go. the only thing i would slightly improve is the breakfast. basically good and fresh but more variety would be great.

    My friend and I were booked in for 3 nights initially and extended it to 5 after we arrived at the Green Tortoise, because it was such a great hostel! Would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a social atmosphere and a nice place to stay. Cheers!
