Casa Licet y Pepe - Havana, Cuba

Unfortunately I can't recommend due to the noise - the guest room is over a busy road 24/7 and the slatted windows on 2 sides of the room let in all the sound (not the owner's fault - most Cuban residences don't have glass in windows). Didn't sleep well. We stayed at other Casa Particulares which were quieter and cheaper, with bigger bathrooms so value was not great for us. Sorry!

Licet is a great host. We stayed her 1 night (our first in a casa) and felt welcome. Although situated near downtown Habana and Habana Vieja the casa was easy to find and we could park in front of it.

VERY NICE people.They provided lots of practical information where to go, what to do,eat,made us familiar with Cuban culture. When we had some stomach problems Licet was very concerned and carrying.Great płacę to stay!

Great place to stay, Licet is very friendly and helpful. Easy to walk to malecon.

Licet was a wonderful host. She has a warm and trustworthy personality. You feel at home the moment you walk in the door. The casa is very clean and brightly colored. The bathroom is clean but a bit narrow if you are a bigger person. We didn't have a problem as we are skinny. The view from the window of the guest room is beautiful, you can see the ocean/malecon as it is only a block away. Great, safe location. I would stay again if I return to Havana. Would recommend Biky's for meals, walkable 4 blocks away. The P16 public bus runs from the airport to the bus stand 150 feet from the apartment for only 5 cents! Can't beat that!!

Licet was amazing. We stayed there for 6 nights and she helped was with everything. Location is good, it is about 15 walking to downtown area, and you can alwayse take taxi. Overall i am a 100% satisfied.

I highly recommend this casa. Licet & Pepe are lovely friendly people and the best hosts and introduction to Cuba you could possibly wish for.Licet speaks english and she was so helpful with our onward travel plans.Nothing was too much trouble for her. The casa is on the fourth floor in a residential area. Turn right and it is a very short walk to the seafront Malecon where you can easily walk in 10 mins to Habana vieja. Turn left from the casa and you get to Habana centro in 10 mins. Great location to see the true Cuba. Thank you Licet, I am so pleased we stayed with you as our introduction to your fabulous country.

Licet & Pepe are great hosts and their casa is lovely. Licet tries to make you feel as welcome as possible and will help you answer any questions you have about the area or how to get to where you want to go. We stayed 2 nights here and it's right in the center between vedado and old havana (if you don't mind walking a bit - it's great location).

Nice appartment with private bathroom. Very friendly people who who are prepared to help you with anything if needed.

Licet is really friendly and makes you feel welcome. We had a good breakfast and some good nights sleep.

Licet and Pepe were as kind as expected and their home was really comfortable. Both the room and the rest of the house were very clean and tidy. They also helped us during our trip, giving us advice and tips to move around La Havana. They are completely realiable so we felt totally safe. Without any doubt, we would choose their home again for visiting Cuba.

Licet, the owner of the flat is a lovely person. She makes good breakfast and helps if there are any questions. The room has a good size and has its own bathroom. We felt comfortable at Licet's place.

We loved staying with Licet & Pepe, who were incredibly helpful and friendly in booking taxis etc. Licet also speaks spanish slow enough you can try to understand which is an added bonus! She is an incredibly relaxed host, and was incredibly helpful i sourcing alternate accommodation (and makes a cracking breakfast). The room was lovely and I would thoroughly recommend - we had a great stay!

Had a lovely 11 night stay at Licet and Pepes casa, they were both very friendly and sweet, Licet helped arrange taxis for us and told us what was too expensive etc. Lovely breakfast in the mornings and a lovely view from the balcony! Hope we weren't too much of a pain hogging your deckchairs! Would highly recommend, especially as it was v cheap. Regards Pete and Ellie

The casa is located in Habana Centro which is very nice, not the polished part of Habana. Licet is very nice and she provided us with a list for other casas in Cuba.

Hello my dear Licet and Pepe! Thank you one more time for our wonderful stay in Havana for this 3 days! Casa has very good location. Each taxi driver knows where to go when we show the address. A lot of interesting places can be reach by walking for 15 min. Licet prepares delicious breakfast and will explain and show you all needed information! Was good for a short stay in Havana! We were able to communicate with Licet in English, and she was very helpful with calling to book a taxi for us to get to the bus station and calling ahead to reconfirm our casa in the next town. The street and building are a bit run-down, but apartment itself was clean and suited our needs. Was close walking distance to old Havana and very close to Malecon. We did not eat any meals here, so I can not comment on that. The room was a private bedroom with attached bathroom within their apartment. The shower was lukewarm. The beds were not the most comfortable, but fine for our short stay of 2 nights.
