Since our opening in 2004, we have hosted travellers from more than 50 countries. READ WHAT SOME OF OUR GUESTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT US:

'It has been a pleasure to be one of the first guests at your hostel. I love the simple, cheery, colourful layout of the hostel, especially the bedsheets you chose in the dorm room, and the colours of the spiral staircase at the back. The hostel is easy to find from the MRT Station in a safe feeling part of the city, in the middle of things - a little oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city life of Singapore. The favourite parts of my stay have been the ease of finding markets to wander through for very cheap food in so many varieties to snack on while shopping for almost anything I could want. Good luck in the future! I will recommend this place to anyone I hear who is visiting Singapore, and if I do not get back to Singapore, one day maybe I will set up a hostel in Western Australia for you to visit me.
Cheers!'
SUSANNE, PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA

'It may be relatively new but Bugis is fab for those travelling on their own with clean, airy, spacious dorms, brekkie, nice tv area and fantastic staff! I'd recommend Bugis to anyone!'
ELAINE, IRELAND

'When I came to Bugis Backpackers, I was really suprised to find such a place in the middle of Singapore. I found everything I needed in the neighbourhood and the MRT station was near, if I wanted to get around in the city. Bugis Village, Little India, Arab Street, shopping areas and food courts - everything is around the corner. And the hostel itself is so clean, safe and nice designed, with it's beautiful living room and the roof terrace, that for me it's the only place in Singapore to stay.'
JAN, GERMANY

Nice quite place in a Bustling Street Below. Location is awesome with Bugis Station just a minute away. Rooms were clean. Toilets with working water heaters. Overall a good experience.

  2. Remi From Netherlands On November 30, -0001

Very good location. Price is low. So very good.

  3. Abi From England On November 30, -0001

It's basic, functional and a bit tatty-looking but the location is terrific. The nearest MRT station is just across the road; the Bugis Village market is right behind the hostel and there's an 24-hour internet place round the corner that just costs SIN$1.20 (or roughly 50p) for 30 minutes online. Be warned though, the hostel is up three long flights of steps, so it isn't accessible to anyone with mobility or respiratory difficulties. Also, breakfast is not included, but the nearest hawker village (not 24-hour) is just behind the MRT station and there's a KFC downstairs and a Burger King and McDonalds in spitting distance (if you like that sort of junk).

a all round good hostel that is in a good location and has all the facilities you would need

  5. Alemberg From Philippines On November 30, -0001

If you're looking for a simple, comfortable room with a GREAT location, this is it. We stayed in the double room with a window/balcony which was pretty sufficient for resting after a day of exploring the city. Though the place in itself does not really have much things to do or people to meet, the location places it in the middle of everywhere. It's across the street from the nearest train station and buses are easy to take in the area. It's also very close to the two electronics store, one of which is a couple of blocks away and the other is a bus ride away. It's also very near Little India and Arab Street. You can take a walk to the National Library and a leisurely walk (or take a bus ride) to Clark Quay, Chinatown, the National Museum and other Museums and sights in Singapore. Lots of cheap places to eat as well. The place itself could be improved and the weekend and night personnel could be more patient and accommodating. The toilets and showers are individually roomed so that's much better for me instead of the dorm-like multiple showers in one room. There's a ref and microwave for storing and heating food and some laundry facilities. Other than the decent, clean and comfortable room it provides, there's pretty not much to expect.

it is really good to stay and convenient in the heart of city

  7. Holly From Australia On November 30, -0001

I loved staying here. It was clean and in a fantastic location. So if you can handle the 2 flights of stairs everyday this is the place for you. Personally I loved the exercise. I would recommend this to EVERYONE traveling to Singapore. 2 Thumbs Up!!!

  8. June From Malaysia On November 30, -0001

    Cleanliness and good location.

if you are looking for a place that will provide you with plenty of shopping choices, foods and transportation all over town, this is the best place to stay.basically, the place is located at a very strategic point, having the mrt across the roads is very convenient.as for the hostel per se,i think the management can improvise the hostel,by providing iron and iron board which i think is very necessary,as well as internet connection for the backpackers to look for information.other than that, the room is clean, nice view overlooking the town at night.i really enjoyed my stay there, and would definitely stay there again on my next visit.

  10. Mai Phuong From Vietnam On November 30, -0001

It is quite good place for u. Especially, near the hostel there are many clothes shop which are always on sale :)

  11. Nur Hafizah From Malaysia On November 30, -0001

excellent location. nice ppl. great places to look at. simple yet comfortable rooms. amenities provided were fine. exceeded my expectations. very happy with my stay there. will recommend to frens n will definitely stay at the hostel if i go back to singapore. :)

  12. Rochana Esti From Indonesia On November 30, -0001

The main attraction is the very central location and very close proximity to Bugis MRT station. clean and friendly enough, though the long stairs and no 24hours reception is kinda drawback and there's no private room with attached bathroom. Staying in this hostel means easy and cheap access everywhere, including 7-11 24hrstore, bugis junction shopping mall, some fast food chains down stairs, and for late night munch you can walk one block to Liang Seang St which has good late night eateries

  13. Bryan From Philippines On November 30, -0001
