Home away from home basically!! The apartment had everything for self catering and even some free things like a wide range of coffee/tea, yoghurts. \nLula and her partner were very helpful and nice. Good transport with the subway just at the end of the road. We will stay again when we come back to NY.

I just think that the hostel staff should prepare for a high volume of people despite days/times or holidays. In my experience, we didn't get any towels nor blankets. The explanation was that they weren't expecting that many bookings, but I think a good hostel/host should be prepared with enough towels, blankets, or toilet paper-the basics. Especially, during cold winters as you know New York tends to have, it's important to stock rooms with thicker and several blankets for guests to be comfortable. It's important to adjust the temperature too. People have probably been out touring the city all day and would like to return to a nice and warm place to sleep.

I enjoyed staying at this Brooklyn hostel - subway was nearby and you could get to the City within 25min. The only thing I would recommend other travelers is to ask for a room that is not at the street side as it can be pretty noisy during day and night!
