A High recomendation for this Ostello. Avoided taxi, but only to walk the streets. The location was a 55 minute walk from train station, and since I arrived late the buses were not available. Don't recommend the late night walk, but during the day... maybe. The OSTELLO CASALE DEI MONACI - ROME, ITALY is close to the Ciamponi Airport, but plane noise was not noticeable. The staff had just one English speaker, Francesca, but my service by the entire staff was top notch. One morning after walking to town, 55 min, I had a local business owner call back to the hotel, so I might get info on the bus times to get back. Instead, in 5 minutes the host had arrived from, picked me up, and was giving me a ride back to the Ostello. Curb side service! No AC in the 20 euro, 6 bed flats. But once I found the portable fan it was all good. Affordable price with several added bonuses, and will stay there again, if opportunity arises. At times a social/dinner activity is planned on Saturdays. If it is, go. ten euro buys you a drink, dinner, and entertainment. Music was very good, and the pasta was excellent! Italy for a novice was great!
Good conditions, sympathy, good price, clean, big, etc.
