Hostel Carpe Diem - Zagreb, Croatia

The owners of the place were great, really nice. The cleanliness of the bathrooms and the bedrooms was excellent - they were very clean... but the kitchen and the common room was poor. It was an easy walk to the center of town, so that was nice and there was street parking was free - right outside the front door.

rooms are prettynice with lockers and all. only kitchen isnt up to the standards, small and always busy.

I didn't like much this hostel. Probably because I even hadn't been there. I booked double room for two days. Then appeared that it was a mistake and there were not double room for two days but only for one. I refused because number for 4 persons wasn't suitable for me. Deposit was took off from my card. These money were not returned to me. I paid these money for nothing. For mistake that wasn't even mine.

In a very nice area although you have to catch a short bus to the main area (15mins walk) but this wasnt a problem. It is right near a supermarket which is very convenient. Bathrooms were good and clean and the rooms were nice with linen provided. Free fast internet was great and the staff knowledgeable and very helpful. The kitchen was fine if a little small but the outside space was very useful.

It was very nice in carpe diem. all people were so kind and we met new friends. go on like this!

If the place was fully clean I'd rate it close to perfect. The bedrooms were clean and i felt very comfortable in them. But the kitchen was a disgrace and the toilets and showers need to be clean. But the guy running it is really nice and really helpful. It's super relaxed there. It almost feels like ur at a quiet house party! which is great! and the fact that the walls are covered with past guests' signatures, comments and sayings is really really cool. But if you're a clean freak or even like most thins clean then u wont like this place. But if u dont mind then ull love it!

This hostel is really a special place. It is very nice, but for young people. For families with small children may be difficult. I would make a note in the web site in order to avoid confusions in future. The staff, however, is very nice and did their best to make our stay as good as possible!

It was a nice hostel, with cool staff. Rooms were clean and area was quiet. We liked it very much, I'll recommend this hostel to my friends, if they're visiting Zagreb. Prices were reasonable too.

Dom, the owner, was very generous, he picked me up from the train station because my train was late. He offered a night on the town, and any advice he could give. The hostel itself was fun, you can write on the walls-good memories.
