Terrylin Backpackers is situated 3 kms from OR Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport, and can accommodate 16 guests. Here are the following facilities: \n \nOne dormitory, with three bunk beds (accommodates 6) \nEach bed has its own reading light. No sudden, bright lights as guests arrive! \nOne family room with a queen-size bed, bunk bed and an en-suite bathroom (bath). The room also has a TV and a wardrobe. \nOne private bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom (shower), TV and wardrobe. \nTwo twin rooms with two single beds, shared ablutions. \nAll linen, including towels is provided. \nThere are laundry and kitchen facilities. \nAmple security - spanish bars on all the windows, security gates, on the back and front doors and a motorised front gate. \nFree parking for guests with cars. \nWi-fi is free for up to an hour. \nSpacious, clean and neat with large, attractive garden and outdoor pool. \nFriendly service and very reasonable tariffs. Credit Cards are accepted. \nVery close to main freeways and highways into Johannesburg and Pretoria, and main tourist routes. \nThe Gautrain, Emporers Palace (casino, movies, restaurants)and Festival Shopping Mall are in close proximity. \nThis hostel has been recently renovated and is very upmarket for a hostel. \nPlease note: \nThe check-in time is from 2pm until 11pm. The check-out time is 10am. \nChildren over the age of 8 years are welcome in the Family and Twin Rooms. There is no capacity for extra beds.

    My brother and I stayed at Terrylin during the world cup 2010 and Joy and Steven took wonderful care of us. The neighborhood is a bit sparse, but it is very near a major highway, so access to the city center isn't difficult. Also I believe there is a train station very near by. But location aside, the hostel itself was a nice, friendly place to stay. Very clean and even hot water in the shower! We recommend it.
